Our Family Vacation

We planned a little family vacation to go to the Grand Canyon in September. We were only there for 2 days, but the memories will be with us forever! It was so beautiful!!! I am so glad we went there and we enjoyed spending time as a family.
We left Cedar on Tuesday morning (September 20th) and stopped in Fredonia, AZ and had a little picnic lunch and then got back on the road. When we arrived at the North Rim we went to the lookout that is by the lodge and the view was breathtaking!!

Then Kalex wanted to get his Jr. Ranger badge, so we started working on the activities while going on a hike called the 'bridal trail'.

Then we went on another hike which was the 'transept trail'.
Kalex needed to watch a ranger program for his jr. ranger, so we went to the condor talk after our hikes. Then went to dinner at the lodge (which I wouln't recommend). After dinner, we went and found our little cabin that we would be staying in.

The next day, we had several things planned....
First, we needed to stop by the ranger station and have kalex receive his badge.
 He was so excited!!!
Then we started going on some more hikes. This is at a another lookout that is by the Lodge.
Then we started going on the 'bright angel point' trail.

The end of the trail.

Then we did some driving to get to the next hikes. This is the view from 'point imperial'.

Then we drove to the 'cape royal trail' and this is a picture of angels window.
