Labor Day started off by running a 5k with my cousin Dorothy (i am so glad she wanted to run with me). It was a fun experience for both of us since this was our first time in a race. This was a great start for me since I want to try and do a half-marathon. I guess I will keep running and hopefully I will get there someday!!!After the race, we didn't want to sit home doing nothing fun, and Tom didn't want to study for school, so we decided we would pack things up and head out on another hike. And I am so glad we did!! It was such a fun hike and I would love to go again! We only had to drive about 15 minutes from our house to get to this hike. It is called Spring Creek and it was so pretty. We really liked it not being busy. We only saw a couple of people so it was nice having the place to ourselves. The kids loved playing on the big rocks and exploring.

What a fun hike for you and your boys. I miss visiting with you. Good job on the 5k. Dave just did the half marathon last weekend and was sore for several days after. I'm working up to a 5k. You'll have to give me some advice. How often you run and for how far. I can't believe how big your boys are. Time is going too fast, isn't it?!
