Great News!!

Tom & Dave

This past spring Tom decided that he needed to get back into school, since it was either now or never. He has always wanted to get his Master's degree, so started he looking into different schools and the programs they offered. After a few months of debating on what he should do, he applied to Graceland University in May, hoping to get in. He applied to the Nurse Practitioner Program and would try and do it all in 28 months (which is the fast track). It is an on-line school so it would work well for us right now.

On Friday, June 2, I received a letter in the mail and kept it from him. Sameeta (Dave's wife) and I had a little plan up our sleeve! Sameeta and I had planned that we would give them their letters at dinner . When Tom came home from work I told him we were going out to dinner with the Cowley's and that I had arranged for a babysitter (thanks again Shandie!) At dinner we gave them their letters at the same time and they are both accepted to the program!! YAY! And yes we did surprise them!!

It is so exciting that both Tom and Dave got into the same school together! They were in the same nursing program at SUU and have been such good friends! It's nice to know they can study together or even ask each other questions about things they are learning. They will start the program on August 30th and I am so happy for them both!! Congratulations!!!
